In this post, the word blogsphere is meant to describe a blog atmosphere. When you are setting up your blog layout, it’s important to ensure that it’s easy to read. You will be receiving a lot of different types of people on your blog and if they can’t read your blog it’ll become difficult for them to maintain any sort of interest in reading what you have to say.
Font Color
If you are aware of a few rules you can ensure that people won’t have a hard time reading your blog. Black on white and white on black are pretty much the safest color combinations however if you’re a colorful person there are a few things to keep in mind. There are people that have a hard time reading red so be sure not to use red fonts, that’s probably one of the worst colors to write in anyways. There are some other people that are color blind. Here are a few examples:
dark red/black: If I get an email with words highlighted in red, I can’t see them.
grass green/orange: I couldn’t spot an orange laying in my lawn.
leaf green/red: No red blossoms in trees and no red apples in trees.
bright green/yellow: I can’t see if a banana is ripe or not.
indian summer colors: It’s colorful, but I have no chance to name the colors.
dark blue/violet: I’ll never know what the difference is.
cyan/gray: All shades of blue-green look truly colorless to me.
brown/green/red: Please, don’t talk about red animals in the forest.

Photographs
Taking pictures for your blog is a great idea, some people actually boast that their attendance to their blog is mostly through photographs that they have on their blog (indexed by google). Taking good pictures and attracting people to your blog is a great way to keep your blogsphere interesting and people’s attention span longer. Sometimes we just have to take a picture of this and that but don’t go overboard. Blogs with too many photographs becomes a photo blog rather than a regular blog and you’ll be attracting a whole new genre of people.
That’s allright if you’re looking for feedback on your photographs but if you really are into it for writing then being sure you have more writing than pictures might be important.
Stay on Topic
Writing a blog post can be a bit challenging because when we are excited about so many things at once, we might end up writing a blog post about 20 things at once. That’s not something people want to read when they are clicking on a link that claims to be about what they want to know about. If you’re talking about blogging and then change the topic to how your weekend went and then talk about your boyfriend and how you guys broke up. People are going to avoid your blog at all costs unless you learn how to stay on topic.
Keep it Shorter
This rule is true for most blog posts because people are coming to blogs hoping to read quick posts about things that they are interested in. Sometimes people have such short attention spans that they will read the first and second paragraph, jump to the last paragraph and then leave. It’s not necessarily because your blog is boring but because they don’t want to spend too much time in one place!
Good luck keeping your blogsphere interesting and keep reading other blogs to get more ideas about what you like and don’t like about their blogsphere! You don’t have to be 100% original but try to be every once in while!
